FT MYERS BEACH is located on ESTERO ISLAND which is 7 miles long and no more than a mile wide. It has sugary white sand beaches that front the GULF of Mexco. Ft Myers Beach is a quiet town that is made up of friendly citizens, artists, fishermen, winter residents and tourists. Two popular public parks are BOWDITCH POINT REGIONAL and LYNN HALL MEMORIAL.
BOWDITCH POINT REGIONAL PARK is a 17 acre park located at the North end of ESTERO ISLAND. The park offers a relaxed atmosphere for walkers, swimmers, and sunbathers. There is also a preserve area offering the opportunity for bird watching. Tables and grills are available in a shaded tropical setting, and nearby dockage for those who arrive by boat. There are also public restrooms and showers.
LYNN HALL MEMORIALPARK is located at the foot of the Sky Bridge and offers a 560 foot pier which is a favorite fishing spot and perfect for viewing those spectacular sunsets. There are picnic tables, showers and restrooms available.
Located adjcent to Lynn Hall Memorial park, is an area that the locals refer to as TIMES SQUARE. It's a hub of activity that offers great eateries, shops and watering holes.
Popular activities include beach walking, shelling, sunbathing, parasailing, jet skiing, and people watching.
